How I was able to achieve some healthy travel, with some practical tips and a few great apps…
So I have just been away on the trip of a lifetime with my best friend, and now fiancé, Jay (yes, we got engaged while on our trip)! We have both wanted to go overseas to Europe together for some time and finally got the opportunity to do so. It tied in beautifully with my Dad and Stepmom being in Italy for my Dad’s 70th birthday too, so there were celebrations all around. My oldest sister and her family, who live in the UK, also made it to Italy for a weekend for us to all spend a little time together. Thanks to technology and the internet, we were not only able to plan and make this trip possible, but also just as important, allowed us to share this special event with the rest of the special people in our lives: my mom and younger sisters and older siblings; Jay’s mom and brothers; and the rest of our dearest family and friends, while we were busy traveling.
TIP 1 – Book Self-catering Where Possible
TIP 2 – Take Your Favourite Staples With You
Tip 3 – Consider A Small Travel Size Blender
- Look for the smallest, lightest blender you can find that has a 300W motor to be able to blend ice (not all blenders will blend ice, so always check this when considering buying a blender).
- When adding ingredients, add the ice first and then the other ingredients so that protein or superfood powders don’t stick to the container which don’t then get easily blended.
